Top Gear s24, ep2: Porsche vs Lambo, Alfa Giulia vs BMW M3

Top Gear is back on TV, with series 24 repeated every Sunday night. You’ll find it on BBC2 at 7pm tonight, or on iPlayer if you’re busy.
And on the episode? It’s the car we’ve been waiting years for Alfa to build, and build it they have: the new Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio is the super-saloon aiming to punch a 503bhp shaped hole in the BMW M3’s long and storied history.
Speaking of which, we also decided it would be prudent to actually, y’know, see if Chris Harris could drift it through a really small hole in a really big wall. A few strained phonecalls to the insurance company may or may not have followed.
Elsewhere, Matt and Chris take to California and Nevada to prove that today’s supercars can withstand more than just a light smattering of rain. To showcase the Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet and Lamborghini Huracán Spyder’s ability to cope with different conditions, we threw them both into all the conditions.
Our celebrity guest this week? None other than the good Doctor himself, David Tennant.
